A downloadable game for Windows

Phreaker is a virtual reality cyberpunk grappling hook game in early development. Both of the player’s hands are equipped with grappling hooks, and the player can connect to any surface in order to traverse large environments. “Large” is not an exaggeration: the environments can be upwards of ten kilometers tall and wide. This size is not a problem, as the grappling hooks allow the player to travel extremely quickly, at times more than 900 meters per second, depending on the skill of the player. There are currently two levels and a tutorial. The current levels are prototypes, experiments to understand architecture and aesthetics that are fun to traverse. The levels have simple goals such as travelling through certain points or grappling to specific objects. There is also a music selection system that allows the player to listen to music by various electronic musicians . The game has “standard” features: a main menu, loading screens, pause menus, graphical settings menus, and more, which makes it very playable despite its early development state.

The goal is to ultimately target the Oculus Quest 2, along with all other wired VR platforms. Currently the game can only be played in wired VR form (on Oculus Quest 2, this means using Oculus Link).
